Supportive Independent Living Program (SILP)

Supportive Independent Living Program

RRRC’s Supportive Independent Living Program (SILP) supports adults experiencing intellectual disabilities to live safely and confidently in their own homes while building the skills needed for greater independence.

Our trained support staff provide individualized, flexible supports that focus on personal goals, daily living skills, and long-term independence—at a pace that works for each person.

Supports may include:

  • Life and interpersonal skills
  • Meal planning, cooking, and housekeeping
  • Life skills and daily living support
  • Wellness check-ins and medication reminders
  • Community access and appointments
  • Goal setting, problem-solving, and crisis support
  • Household organization and routines
  • Budgeting and personal finances
  • Public transportation training

SILP is guided by person-centred planning, promoting choice, dignity, and independence.
Referrals are coordinated through a Community Service Worker.
